AMULANCE To Release 'Deutschland' EP
July 15, 2010Cult metal band AMULANCE has inked a deal with Stormspell Records for the release of a new limited-edition EP, entitled "Deutschland".
Stormspell Records is well known and respected for its undying support of classic metal. Stormspell embraces every aspect of true metal, the music, the energy, handdrawn cover art, etc. Every detail is brought to life through the label.
Stormspell Records is celebrating the release of this EP by repressing a limited number of the sold-out AMULANCE release "The Rage Within And The Aftermath".
Both CDs will be available at outlets on August 3.
Prior to the release date, the only way to get a copy of either CD is directly from AMULANCE's merchandising booth during the band's European performances.
Bassist Thom Braddish explains the reason for the EP: "We had 12 songs that were near completion before we lost a couple of band members due to personal reasons. Initially the new guys came in just to 'track over.' But, then we decided against it." He continues, "The band rehearsed and gelled perfectly. So we thought, 'Fuck, these dudes are entitled to stake their own claim.' So we chose five songs and completely re-recorded them as an intact band for the EP."
"What you see live is on the recording."
Vocalist Rik Baez adds: "I'm really proud of the job everyone did.
"The EP was recorded entirely in analog; no computers were used at all in the recording.
"There are so many bands copping out and getting away with murder by using digital workstations to fix their mistakes instead of doing it themselves. They just click a mouse and voila, it's fixed. Of course, not every band abuses this technology, but some do and it's just not right."
AMULANCE is:
Rik Baez - Vocals
Thom Braddish - Bass
Bob Luman - Guitar
Eddie Foltz - Drums
Pat Cassidy - Guitar
